Battlefield 4
Everyone's excited for the upcoming Battlefield 4 and it's gameplay trailer at E3 so I'm here to give you a full update on what's new.
The biggest thing players of Battlefield 3 are noticing is that there is a heck of a lot more destruction going on. The new Frostbite 3 engine lives up to it's previous versions, packing a whole lot more destruction; cover, support structures, buildings, all this in HD online on the new consoles. Destruction in the game stays through the match changing the way you play, sinkholes, buildings, and walls all coming down around you. No news yet if the new consoles will be running it at full 1080. Battlefield 4 will be available on the current

Owner reacts: SUPERMAN WTF. Movie review of "Man Of Steel"
Hello Hooligans! I recently went to watch Man of steel, (mind you I have seen it twice now) I will start of by saying usually, the second time you watch a movie, you notice things you didn't before. That was not the case for me. Overall this movie was disappointing, overly destructive, and over-anticipated.
*SPOILERS*
Things I liked about this movie...
How they showed how Krypton was destroyed
The way they showed Jor-El within the Fortress Of Solitude
Superman's Costume

Hello There!
Hello all, my name is Jack. I will be a new contributor to this blog. I am also a friend of everyone who is currently working on this blog.
So a little bit about myself, as you can tell from what this blog is basically about, I am a gamer as most of the other bloggers here. I don't really enjoy FPS (First Person Shooters) that much, but I am always fond of Indie games, like Minecraft, Prison Architect, and many more. Other than that I think that is about it.
I am also the one that is managing our youtube channel and posting about the computer stuff and graphic cards that may be of interest to anyone who really wants to know.
I wont be as active as the other bloggers on this blog because I will be quite busy with posting and editing things on the channel. I will try to post once in a while when I find something new!

Who the what when where
I'm sorry, but I need clarification on a suggestion someone sent. What does this mean?!
New graphics cards? What do you mean?

Are video games art? --- Part 1
That question that is on everyone's mind. Are video games art? Many people have different opinions on the matter. Some claim that since video games are a form of storytelling and expression, they are an art. Others argue that video games are not art themselves, but made up of other assets that are art (I.E. music). I'm writing a series that will examine what art is, and whether or not video games fit into the category.
The most important thing to ask is what defines an art. According to this dictionary I have with me, "human creative skill or its application" is the definition of an art. That's pretty broad. So do video games fit into that category? Obviously video games require creativity, but this comes back to the argument of whether or not video games are art, or their assets are. One could argue that the story in the game is what makes it art, but is that just not a form of creative writing?

Playstation 4 vs Xbox One
So, here's the debate that's causing the raging, the Playstation Death vs Xbox Juan. I prefer the PS4 but I'm not going all fanboy, I want to give you guys the facts and let you decide.
Starting with Hardware:
Let's start with the Playstation 4; It uses an AMD combining 8 Jaguar cores and a Radeon Graphics processor, it runs on a 6x Blu-ray drive and 8G of GDDR5 Ram along with 500G of Hard Drive. The new Dualshock 4 controller has a touch screen and a button for easy footage upload, it also has improved design for handling and a headphone jack for online chat. The new light bar acts similar to the playstation move, it interfaces with the Playstation eye for movement and colour for local-play. the controller itself has been given easier handle bars and joysticks and start buttons have been moved farther up.
The new Peripheral Eye uses two cameras much like the Kinect and 4 mics.

Kerbal Space Program
Jon here,
So, I thought I would start my first post as a highlight on an indie game, and this being one of my favourite.
Kerbal Space Program is everything as space simulator should be, you design, (basic) program, and explore Moons, and Planets, simple concept but so well done. The game is available on Steam for $22.30 at it's 0.20 alpha version which was release a few weeks ago, price will go up as more content is released. Demo of the game can be downloaded for all OS right *here*. This game is difficult using realistic physics so let me give you a quick run through.
You start with building your space craft with the basics, pilot, fuel, engine. and you can use a library of 300+ parts with the full version. Use decouplers in the structure* tab and you can organize you staging on the right side icon column. Add an advanced SAS (activates in flight pressing T) will keep your rocket straight. Use rocket proportion to the mass of the stage, and keep air fins behind the centre of mass (only works where air is). Press M to see your orbit path. Your stage should be organized relative to this:

- Increases speed
- Carries to higher atmosphere and sets orbit.
- Increases Orbit speed until a full orbit is achieved and for larger orbital manoeuvres
- Final stage for your travel to the Moon
RCS thrusters will allow you to make adjustments in space, awsd turns your ship, jikl translates, and hn shifts your thrust up and down, make sure you have an RCS fuel stack or attachable tank. Landing gear is in the utility tab (activates with G) along with parachutes. Press M to bring your map and click on a line to place a manoeuvre node. After getting into a capture path slow the ship down to and orbit. Then decrease your arc so it's closest to the moon without crashing. All you need to do now is stop your horizontal speed and hover down.
The full game is filled with planets and moons to explore and the completed version is planned for deep space travel. Visuals for this game are empty but once you get into space you really feel the vastness of space, especially the true size of the moon as you approach it. Personally I can be tried for the death of 78 kerbals and 23 that have gone MIA loss in the "testing" phase. Being a Sandbox game the inventions you can create are amazing. Mass drivers (aka scrap cannon), Space station, Nuclear space drives, Battleships, and Fuel stations.
Wurm review
Wurm is an online medieval RPG sandbox. I came across it when searching for java sandboxes, and noticed Notch's name in the credits. For those of you who do not know, "Notch" is a man who developed a game called "Minecraft"
From there, I registered on their website, downloaded the game, and and clicked launch.
It took half an hour for the game to download all the files necessary.
Once I FINALLY got in, it immediately puts you into a server, which you will always be on.
At first, the tutorial was vague, but the Online community is superb, and extremely helpful.
It is somewhat difficult to get started, but once you do, you get rockin'
Note that there is NOT an offline mode, it is always multiplayer

New Contributor: Jonathan D.
Hello I am now a new contributor on the blog, I hope you enjoy my presence here, I am a friend of Nick and Ben.
So about myself; I would say I'm an Otaku and a Gamer, my interests are FPS games though I have expanded a bit. I enjoy a game that has, story, community, visuals, and well-structured gameplay. So I suppose I will be covering the more Visually intense games like Final Fantasy, Battlefield, Titanfall, etc. I will delve into some Anime and Anime Games if that becomes an interest on the blog. I will be starting Highschool along with a Java programming course, hopefully I can start posting some of my own games (and hopefully ones you like) on as well. I do draw concepts for game ideas though it's simply I lack the knowledge to start applying these ideas to code. I also have interests in well made indie games so i might put a few up there as well. So, hope you viewers enjoy my work.

My 2 Favourite Games
Disclaimer: This review will be biased. These are my 2 favourite games. If you want to talk about your favourite games, feel free to comment! I might post a review on one of your favourite games.
You may be asking, "Youben, what are your favourite games?" That's probably the hardest question that I've imagined someone has asked me.
So I'm going to split it into two categories: My favourite single-player and multiplayer game.
For single-player, I'm going to have to go with Chrono Trigger, for SNES, DS and Playstation.
This game is about time travel, and it executes this concept extremely well. Square Enix did a great job getting a team together for this game. The artist of the game worked on Dragonball Z, so some of the characters look similar to people in the show. The music director they hired was perfect. I've never played a game in my life that has better songs. Every song in the game will make you feel something.
After playing the game, you become emotionally attached to the characters. With more than 10 different endings to the game, the replay value is great. The storyline in this game is great, however I can't describe it without spoiling the plot. I believe that this game should be played by anyone who enjoys games casually or hardcore.

Final Rating: 48/50, Must Play
For multiplayer, I think my favourite game is Age of Mythology. However, this is a game I played when I was younger, so this review may be biased due to nostalgia.
This game is an RTS, and a spinoff on the Age of Empires games. You can choose between 9 major gods (12 in the expansion), and each have their own unique abilities. You advance through the ages, and choose more minor gods to worship. At the last age, you will be worshiping 4 different gods, each with unique mythological units and god powers. Want to send an earthquake to your enemies base? No problem. Want to summon a dragon? Go ahead.
I choose this game not only because it is a great RTS. I choose it because it has a top-notch scenario editor. It's a condition-effect system, which means if this happens, do that. Normally, I would consider this to be a very simple, average editor. However, you are allowed to create your own conditions and effects by making .xml files. So not only can you use the editor quite simply, you can use coding knowledge to make an advance scenario for you and your friend to play. It's also great because when you host a game, it automatically downloads the scenario for anyone who joins. So it's simply to try a new game!
The single-player of this game is average. The campaign is pretty interesting, but it's nowhere near as good as the multiplayer. It's not worth mentioning in this review, as I'm mainly suggesting this game for it's multiplayer. Yes, the servers for the game are still up last time I checked, even after 10 years of awesome. I hope this gets an HD remake, like Age of Empires 2 did.

Introduction to Youben
Hello. My name is Youben. I am a new admin on this blog.
I am here to post mainly about video games. My posts will be video game reviews, and whether or not video games are art. Although the perspective may be skewed as I am currently working on making games myself, I hope that I can get you thinking about what exactly defines an art.
If you have any requests, just ask.

Hey hooligans! I wanted to let you know of some changes:
I will be posting more about video games due to the turnout of the last one,
I have added a paypal donate button, this is NOT and ad! It is legitimate.
I also added adsense, which is why there are now ads.
All of these things are so I can get enough money to get a custom domain, and eventually start video gaming servers (Multiplayer servers [Minecraft, gmod, ect.])
Thanks for all the support Hooligans!
