AMD vs NVIDIA Graphics Cards

AMD (ATI Technologies) Logo
During the history of gaming, graphic cards are the biggest part of a computer that helps you run these games. Some games may be graphics intensive, while others may run on any kind of GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), well not the ones that were created a decade ago, but you should still get equivilentthe point of what I actually mean. The graphics card for those who actually don't know; what it is, its what powers the display on any computer, desktop and laptop. This is one of the main parts that help the games that we play today run!

So then what is the point of me writing this post? Well, the GPU is made by many companies, but the two main ones that we see today on the market is either AMD (ATI Technologies) or NVIDIA. These two have caused a lot of discussions, for one AMD is a lot cheaper than NVIDIA, so the price of the computer that you will be getting will most likely be 2x cheaper if it contained a card made by AMD, and so it would be 2x more if it contains a NVIDIA chip in the computer. This is what I have Inferred from comparing the two companies prices for each GPU. (These the chips that come in laptops, not desktops)

For example, NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan is about $1019 USD, this is the most powerful GPU made by NVIDIA (so far), and AMD has an equivalent called the AMD or ATI Radeon HD 7990. AMD are planning to sell it for around $999 USD, and from what I have read the Radeon HD 7990 has replaced the NVIDIA Titan as the worlds fastest and most powerful GPU ever created.  But the price isn't the most accurate way to tell the difference, but the most reliable way to tell would basically be what the consumer is buying the card for. Both of these cards the #1 and #2 fastest GPUs' in the world, but they are designed for Hardcore gamers, and not so much the average gamer, and definitely not the everyday computing kind of person. It is literally a waste of a thousand dollars + tax of course.

AMD Radeon HD 7990
Here are some Pros and Cons of each of these companies

Pros:
      AMD:
        Cheaper
        Great for everyday computing
        Reliable
Great for people on a low budget
Decent for productivity applications, like editing videos

     NVIDIA:
        Great for gaming
Great for video editing, photo shoping all that stuff
        Great for everything else
        Reliable
NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX TITAN
Cons:
     AMD:
Some cards aren't great for gaming, but some cards are great, like the Radeon HD 7990
Not enough processing power ( for some chips)
       Decent customer support

     NVIDIA:
       Can get a bit pricey,
Not that great for people who don't game that often
and not a good choice for people on a low budget
       Decent customer support
